So I was contacted by 2k Games yesterday and asked if I would not mind taking a sneak peek of Spec Ops: The Line. I thought about the question for exactly 1 second and yelled, “Yes!”

Today, I am heading up to the London Hotel to meet up with some folks from 2k Games. I am also hoping that folks from Yager Development will be there as well. And I don’t mean that in a bad way — I think the staff at 2k Games are rather awesome but there is nothing better than speaking with the developers of a game.

I don’t have any assets to post in this article but I did run across the official E3 Spec Ops: The Line trailer. The gameplay looks rather tight and the sound track is awesome. When speaking with one of the 2k Games representatives, he told me:

Think of it like SOCOM but with a much more intense story… that really has the player asking themselves if they are doing the right thing or the wrong thing.

No, tell me it ain’t so — a game with morals

Well, all I can say is that I am super excited to check out the game play. I will keep you guys (and gals) posted.

Ray and Zev look at ESRB (Entertainment Software Rating Board), which gives ratings for software on almost every platform. We love this organization, and feel that it gives parents and families better understanding of the choices for their children.

A few days before the official launch — Microsoft invited a handful of outlets and their families to have one last look before the November 4th launch. What made this event special was that we were looking at the final product. Zev Green and I have been on this journey for the past twelve months and we have seen Kinect mature with each visit. The two of us took a more passive role at this event because we wanted to witness how others — who have never played with Kinect — would react.

We had the wonderful opportunity to speak with the Microsoft Xbox 360 Kinect Director — Alex Kipman. Let’s hear why Alex thinks Kinect is a revolutionary system.

Your living room TV is under assault!

I am not talking about your kids throwing Wii remotes at it, or spouses sabotaging your inputs just in time for Sunday football, or not having any juice left in your rechargeable Logitech Harmony Remote, or even those tiny little fingerprints on the screen that make you go coo coo for cocoa puffs.  I am talking about the endless barrage of hardware media devices.

Devices like the D-Link Boxee Box, the  Syabas Technology Popcorn Hour, the Roku Player, AppleTV, Blu-ray players, Microsoft XBox 360, Sony PS3, Nintendo Wii, audio systems, Sonos ZonePlayer, Tivo, and other Cable/Verizon Fios/Satellite appliances.  Whew!  I need an entire circuit breaker just for my TV, and I still have a problem getting all of my content the way I want.
