Waiting for the Logitech HD Pro Webcam C920

A few days ago Zev Green tells me about this new webcam that we must review on DadsOnTech. I took a quick look at it and said, “So let’s get a review unit from Logitech.” The company was more than happy to send over the Logitech HD Pro Webcam C920.

Here are some specs:

  • Carl Zeiss lens with autofocus (makers of NASA lenses)
  • Full HD video (records full-HD 1080p)
  • Stereo audio (dual mics)
  • Logitech Fluid Crystal Technology (smoother video motion)

The World Wide Web is allowing us to — quickly and easily — stay connected with loved ones. The popularity of services like Skype and Windows Live Messenger makes it incredibly simple to have a video conversation with family, friends and even work. Now while some computers come with a built-in webcam — these cameras offer poor video quality, in most cases.

“People are increasingly relying on video calling to maintain far flung connections,” said Todd Walker, brand manager at Logitech. “Whether chatting with friends, family or co-workers, they want to be seen at their best through a sharp, high-quality image. The Logitech HD Pro Webcam C920 can provide just that as the first webcam to offer 1080p video calling, thanks to our collaboration with Skype.”

I could not agree more with Todd Walker. So needless to say I am rather excited to review the C920 — well actually Zev is going to review it so I am a bit jealous. The review will be up in about a week or so — so stay tuned.
