Reviewing the iPhone App, Photo Ninja

Zev and I are talking about the PhotoNinja iOS app. This is simply a family friendly – party friendly app. It’s costs only a few bucks you should check it out.

Description:

Stats:

  • One-touch, automatic pirate-ification or ninja-fication of your photos.
  • Works with multiple faces, groups, and tilted heads
  • No manual editing or positioning of faces, thanks to face-recognition technology
  • Works with photos taken with your device, or photos from your camera roll
  • Works on baby photos, group photos, etc.

Pros:

  • Makes dull photos entertaining
  • The touch interface makes editing easy (pinch-zoom)
  • Send completed photos to other services (Facebook, Email, Tumblr)

Cons:

  • Needs more flair
  • occasionally crashes
  • No share community like Photofunia

Jack. it was our pleasure. And you are right I am confused on the facial recognition part :-)

Guys --- thanks so much for the review! More flair is indeed coming, I'm just currently working out all the remaining annoying bugs and making it altogether more bad ass. The next release should be pretty much crash free. BTW --- the app has no facial recognition. I experimented with it, but never added it because it was too inaccurate. (I think Ramon was confusing it with another app called Pirate Ninja).
